Abigail Marsh is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a specific interest in the field of Gut Health. Abigail is currently completing her PhD at The University of Queensland, undertaking a dietary intervention in IBD. Through her PhD, Abigail hopes to strengthen the evidence shaping current nutrition guidelines and improve the nutritional management of individuals with inflammatory bowel disease.
Since graduating Abigail has been working as a clinical dietitian at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital and has now joined the team at Integrated Gut Health. She is the primary author of a meta-analysis on the efficacy of a low FODMAP diet in the management of IBS and has presented this work at the 2015 GESA congress and the International Nutrition and Diagnostic Conference in Prague. She is also the primary author of a paper she completed as part of her masters of dietetics studies; Food avoidance in outpatients with inflammatory bowel disease – who, what and why? She has presented the work at the Dietetic Association of Australia conference, 2018.
