Dr Matthew Evans

Dr Matthew Evans is a registered, Oxford-trained Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the field of psychology since 2000.

He takes an empathic and evidence-based approach to helping people deal with life’s challenges. He believes that all people can find emotional health, healing and hope in their lives, and assists people to achieve this by taking a non-judgmental, sensitive and collaborative approach, finding the right fit for each individual, to achieve excellent outcomes. He sees adolescents, adults and couples for a broad range of issues, and is passionate about relationships, neurodiversity and the interaction between physical and mental health.


• Individual therapy

• Couples counselling as a trained EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) practitioner

• Parenting issues including behavioural support, parenting strategies, adjustment and coping; in addition parenting children with ASD, ADHD and other developmental conditions

• Management of health conditions such as diabetes, cardiac and gastroenterological conditions

• Feedback Informed Therapy (FIT) which is a process by which feedback from clients at the end of each session helps him to work more effectively to achieve better outcomes.
